I had the pleasure of shooting Jordan and Andrew’s engagement photography session a couple of weeks ago. They chose to have it at Andrew’s family farm in Malmsbury, where their wedding will take place too. When I arrived to meet the excited couple, I wasn’t surprised why: the property is amazing! Established in 1881, there were so many amazing spots to shoot at. The rustic dairy, green paddocks, gorgeous homestead, shearing shed all looked stunning amongst the rolling hills. There was also a lake in the distance… I had to pinch myself – what a perfect location.
The day was slightly overcast, so the soft lighting made it just right for photos. While the sunset was not exactly what we hoped for, the day was gorgeous all the same. I quickly got into my element and started snapping away. Both Jordan and Andrew were naturals in front of my camera: they nailed it! They shared so many candid moments; loving gazes were exchanged as though no one was watching them. I happily captured so many amazing photos of them enjoying being in each other’s company.
The session was very relaxed and felt so natural. Their energy gave me a great insight into what was to come for their wedding in a few weeks’ time. We walked around the property giggling and chatting together. I lagged slightly behind them, stalking them with my camera while giving subtle guidance. They told me about the plans for their wedding, which I was already looking forward to.
I’m so excited to be able to share these images with you. So many of these portraits and candid moments will be treasured for years to come and I’m glad I got to be a part of it. And… just wait until you see their wedding photography! I shot it last weekend, and wow – they exceeded my already high expectations. These two took full advantage of the beautiful rustic setting of the property, so I can’t wait for you to see it!
Jordan and Andrew, thank you so much for reaching out to me. You two make such a special couple, which is reflected in all of these images.
